The Principals
Ross N.A. Woolley and Richard G. Morris have established reputations as technically accomplished architects with unique abilities to build world-class design work. Their professional record encompasses numerous aw ard-winning facilities and includes team leadership of over 20 published projects.
The principals of WMA continue to build the practice on the large-scale project experience gained in the employ of several firms of international reputation in New York City.
Ross N.A. Woolley has brought his design leadership to the completion of 30 works, including multi-family and retirement housing, higher education facilities, corporate facilities and private residences. His work in progress includes high rise hotels and schools.
Prior to the founding of Woolley Morris Artchitects in 1991, Mr. Woolley concluded a six-year tenure as Senior Associate at Michael Graves Architect in 1990. His duties there consisted of the design leadership and management of several large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments, university buildings and private residences.
Mr. Woolley's broad design experience spans master site planning of complex properties, cutting edge building forms and evocative interior spaces. His work at Woolley Morris also encompasses detailed design of fixtures, custom interior components and interior color palettes.
Richard G. Morris is recognized as a forward thinking manager and strategic business planner at WMA. He directs the business planning and administration of the firm, and oversees the execution of selected projects. In tandem with Mr. Woolley’s design leadership, Mr. Morris functions as Principal-in-Charge for the firm’s more complex projects requiring senior level management.
Mr. Morris also supervises the Quality Assurance program at Woolley Morris which commences with his personal review of documents prior to issue to clients.
